Marie A. Koneski

MEDINA — Mrs. Marie A. Koneski, of Medina, passed away on Saturday evening, June 15, 2013, at her home.

Mrs. Koneski was born in Hendersonville, NC, January 5, 1940, a daughter of the late George and Myrtle (Dill) Newman. On June 20, 1970, she married William J. Koneski and was a long-time Medina resident. She was employed by several local restaurants as a waitress for many years.  Marie was a member of VFW Post #1483, Ladies Auxiliary, enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family, grandchildren and many friends.

Survivors include her husband, William; three children, William, Cassandra (Jim) Roberts and Tara (Kenneth) Toenniessen; two grandchildren, Alex and Morgan Roberts; a brother, David     (Loretta) Newman; a sister, Brenda (Bill) Wheeler; her mother-in-law, Margaret Koneski; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial     service on Thursday at 11AM, at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street, Medina.  The Daniel J. Fawls, pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
