Karin G. Raimondo

TOWN OF PENDLETON —

Karin G. Raimondo, of the Town of Pendleton, NY, passed away after an 11-year battle with cancer, she fought with great strength and dignity, on Monday, July 7, 2014, at her home under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. She was born in Syracuse, NY on September 29, 1958, the daughter of Konstantin and Gudrun (Kiesling) Koslowsky of Syracuse, NY.
Karin graduated from Onondaga Central High School, where she held the schools Discus and Shot-put record for many years. She received her Food and Dietary Degree from Morrisville Community College and later her nursing degree from Niagara County Community College. Karin was a Registered Nurse at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, Horizon Human Health Services, the Visiting Nurse Association and for the past 10 years with Independent Health. She loved to vacation on the Outer Banks and visit her son in Las Vegas.
In addition to her parents, Karin is survived by her husband of 34 years, Michael Raimondo; one son, Michael K. Raimondo of Las Vegas, NV; one daughter, Krista J. Raimondo of Pendleton; two brothers, Peter (Donna) Koslowsky and David (Jackie) Koslowsky; a sister-in-law, Linda Koslowsky; and dear friend of Tante Ursula. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Karin was the sister of the late Horst Koslowsky.
The family will be present on Friday from 4-7:30 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will held at 7:30 PM with the Rev. Mark Auernhamer officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
