Joann Electa Sammarco

LOCKPORT —  

Joann Electa Sammarco passed away on December 9, 2012, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was born on July 11, 1956 to Harley W. Carlton and the late Virginia (Snyder) Carlton.
She received a degree in accounting from Alfred State College while living in Belfast, NY, and was employed by Rohar General Funding for over 12 years. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed motorcycle riding, and spending time with her husband, family, and faithful dog, Gracie.
Joann is survived by her loving husband, Bill, of 20 years; her son, Timothy (Nicholl) Brewer; daughter, Katelyn Grayce Brewer; grandchildren, Joshua Miller, Zachary, Deseree, Hayleigh, Dominik Brewer, and Clarence Gray, Jr.; brother, Timothy (Meribeth) Carlton of West Seneca, NY; sisters-in-law, Grayce (Michael) Dietz, Patricia (Leroy) Palmer, Diane and the late John Sammarco. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Ross Funeral Home Gaul Chapel from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM. Burial will be private. Memorials to the American Cancer Society in Joann's name would be appreciated by the family.
