Roy A. Smith

LOCKPORT —

Roy A. Smith passed away on January 10, 2014 in Absolut of Gasport. Born in Wyoming, NY on May 6, 1931, he was the son of Walter and Laura (Taylor) Smith.
Roy served in the National Guard from 1950 to 1959. He drove tractor trailer for 40 years and then drove bus for 17 years at Ridge Road Express. Roy was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed lighthouses and driving any type of vehicle - it was his life.
Roy is survived by his wife, Paula (Flohr) Smith of Sanborn; father of Lawrence (Becky) Smith of Medina, William (Neva) Smith of Williamsburg, VA, Debbie Chaddendon of Lockport, Penney (David) Botsford of Medina, Jodi VanDelinder of Buffalo, and Kiera Smith of Sanborn; also several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews; brother of the late Edward, William, Lawrence Smith and Grace Tagg.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, January 13th, from 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 14th, at 11 AM. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
