Rodger T. Smarr

CHARLESTON, WV — Rodger T. Smarr, born November 7, 1948 in Hugheston, WV, went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2014. He was the son of the late Rodger Smarr.

He went to school in West Virginia and served in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1970. He worked in several factories in Lockport and West Virginia.

Surviving are his mother, Nancy Hess; wife, Carolyn J. Smarr; a daughter, Laura Smarr; a son, Rodger T. Smarr III (Anna); step-children, Tammi (Richard) Russell, Carolyn (Julie) Bishop, Mike (Cathy) Tice, John Tice, the late Ed Tice and Joyce Tice; two brothers, Donald (Darleen) Smarr and Richard (Paula) Smarr; 13 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Virginia Smarr Lloyd and Beverly Yarbrough.

Private services will be held by the family.
