NEWFANE — Lilly M. Poole, of Newfane, NY, wife of the late Laurence Poole, entered into rest Friday, April 26, 2013 in Newfane Rehabilitation and Health Care Facility.

She was born in Lockport, NY August 26, 1930, the daughter of the late Henry and Mabel Parsons Spencer.

Lilly worked for Norton Laboratory, Ferree Plastics and was a Nurse's Aide at Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care, retiring in 2002. She had lived all her life in the Newfane-Lockport area. Lilly enjoyed knitting, puzzles, her cats and helping other people.

Mother of David (Paula) Spencer of Lockport, Robert (Nattie) Spencer of Gasport, Diane Ribbick of Akron, Shirley (Fred) Srock of Newfane, Laurence (Janet) Poole of Barker, and Mark Poole of Akron. Grandmother of the late Bobby Jo Kennedy. Sister of Donald (Linda) Spencer of Newfane, Richard (Maryann) Spencer of Albion, William (Vivian) Spencer of Mullberry, FL, Marge (Ron) Tice of Lockport, Mary Bohn of Mullberry, FL, and the late Dorothy Vosburgh, Erma Covell, Mabel, Henry Jr., Charles, George, Merle and Roy Spencer. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY, SUNDAY 2-6 PM, where funeral services will be held MONDAY at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorials to Niagara SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
