Edward John Roland

LOCKPORT —

Beloved husband of CarolAnn Elizabeth Vohwinkel Roland. Born in Buffalo, NY. Died in Lockport, NY at the age of 77 years old. Eddie served in the US Army from 1954 to 1957. He worked for 24 years as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service and then 13 years as a bus driver for the Niagara/Wheatfield School System.
He is survived by his three children, Jenny Roland. Michael (Vickie Winebrenner) Roland and SarahAnn (Michael) Lewis; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, David Roland; sister, Penny (Timothy) Wojcik; along with many relatives and friends. He was the son of the late Wesley John and Irene Elzata Putvin Roland; and the brother of the late Claudia (Robert) Young.
Eddie was a member of the Lockport Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 6339 Hamm Road. A viewing service will be held there on Friday, April 5, 2013 at l0:00 AM with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Flowers gratefully declined. Arrangements by the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home.
