She enjoyed Country music and had a special affinity for Blake Shelton. She was a member of the Ladies of Charity and Altar & Rosary Society at St. Pius X. Sandy was lovingly called "Sandy Beach" by her brother Rick and sisters, Barbara, Julie and Cher, and was also referred to as their VOR (Voice Of Reason).  Sandy's daughter, Mandy Berzer-Grzegorczak, referred to her mom as "Chick-A-Dee" and together they watched many Sabres games. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Berzer in 1998.
