Laura Grossi-Smith, of Lyndonville, NY, formerly of Alabama, NY, entered into rest on Monday, March 11, 2013. Born on November 25, 1966 in Alabama, NY, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Laudina Ortiz Grossi.
Laura was a graduate of Oakfield Alabama Central Schools. She worked for Tops Supermarkets on Transit Road in Lockport for 11 years, and also for Kleanbrite in Brockport. Laura enjoyed reading books, her cats and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite color was pink, and she always had a smile on her face and was laughing.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Smith of Lyndonville; sister of Gina (Kenneth) Grossi-Roeser of Lockport, and Lydia (Timothy) Grossi-Young of Batavia; aunt of Michael and Jared Godlove, Cody and Kaylee Smith; sister-in-law of Russell Smith of Lyndonville and Steve Hoy of Hawaii; niece of John (Paula) Grossi of Canada; cousin of Sabrina (Daniel) Lattanzio of Canada; special friend of Jule (Paul) Weseman of Lockport, Bea Ostrander of Batavia and Wanda Edkin of Lyndonville.
Relatives and friends may call at the TAYLOR & REYNOLDS FUNERAL HOME, 70 Niagara St. at Transit, Lockport, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral service will immediately follow. Interment, Alabama Cemetery. Arrangements by Provenzano Memorial Chapel, Mark C. Provenzano, director.
