Camellia "Candy" Peyatt passed away January 8, 2013, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born August 15, 1939, in Olean, she was the daughter of Richard and Camellia (Howe) Kayes. Candy worked in production at Oldham Saw in Burt, NY and also tended bar for the IOOB. She was an active member of several local clubs and especially enjoyed spending time with her family, and working on jigsaw puzzles and Chinese auctions.
Candy is survived by her husband of 22 years, Andrew Peyatt of Lockport; mother of Daniel Langdon, Elaine (Peter) Morello of Lockport, Deborah (Dennis) Drabant of Olean, and the late Sharon Langdon; step-mother of Andrew (Pam) Peyatt, Charles (Kim) Peyatt, Christopher (Trinia) Peyatt and Caroline (William) Rauber; grand-mother of 12, step-grandmother of ten and great- grandmother of eight; sister of Raymond Kayes, Mariam Ordway, both of Olean, and the late Henry Kayes, Richard Kayes, Florence Mosher and Catherine Flanigan; also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where prayers will be offered Saturday morning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated on Saturday, January 12th, at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Huskey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
