Francis Henry Sippel

LOCKPORT — Francis Henry Sippel, of Lockport, passed away April 12, 2013. Born May 22, 1923, he is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joeleen Murphy  Sippel; his son, William (Mary) Sippel; his daughters, Suzanne (James) Korneliusen, Deyanne Sippel; six grandchildren, Jon-David Crowe, Jamie Crowe, William (Alison) Crowe, Brett (Melissa) Sippel, Kevin (Kathy) Sippel, Ty (Kerry) Sippel, and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Eugene.

Frank joined the Marine Corps in 1943 and served three years in the Pacific during WW II. He worked for United Board and Carton and later joined the sales staff of the Upson Company. A member of the Elks Club and the AOH, Frank enjoyed his family and friends and loved to share his stories of the North End.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1200A Scottsville Road, Rochester, NY 14624; or Niagara Hospice.
