Donald E. Geist

NEWFANE —

Donald E. Geist of Newfane, NY, husband of Karen Stout Geist entered into rest, suddenly, on Monday, September 16, 2013. He was born in Lockport, NY on May 7, 1961, the son of the late Lloyd and Annie Lindemuth Geist. Don married Karen Stout on October 17, 1981.
Don was a member of the Ridgewood Bible Church, where he was a Leader of the Boys Brigade and was also a member of the North American Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting,   fishing and spending time with his family. Don started working as a meat cutter for Bell's IGA in Newfane in 1980, he currently was the meat manager for Budwey's Market in Newfane.
Father of Scott D. (Katie) Geist and Christopher (Cassy) Geist, both of Lockport. Grandfather of Gabriel Geist. Brother of Shirley (Richard) Bickel, Lois (Douglas) Farley, Diana (Rodney) Burnett, Wayne (Susan) Geist, all of Newfane and the late Sandy Wing. Brother-in-law of Kevin (Faye) Wing of Lockport, Beverly (Larry) Bowerman of Olcott, Lou Ann (Jeffrey) Lindemuth of Newfane and Debra (Mike) Langford of Stafford, NY. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY on THURSDAY from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held on FRIDAY at 11:00 AM in Ridgewood Bible Church, 7073 Ridge Road Lockport, NY. Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery, Newfane, NY. Memorials to Ridgewood Bible Church, 7073 Ridge Road, Lockport, NY, would be appreciated by the family.
