John E. Leyland

OLCOTT —

John E. Leyland of Olcott, NY, husband of Mamie Cimino Leyland, entered into rest on Monday, October 21, 2013 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He was born in Buffalo, NY, on December 8, 1950, the son of the late John A. and Mildred Cudney Leyland.
Member of Olcott Yacht Club where he served as past Fleet Captain and Secretary. John loved the water and enjoyed sailing his sailboat "Lightfoot", he also was a Master Carpenter and liked cars. He worked for Transitowne Dodge in Williamsville, NY as an auto technician.
Father of Wendy (David) Hou of Rochester, NY. Brother of Linda (Paul) Makson of Warsaw, NY. Uncle of Frank (Julie) Makson, Cynthia Makson and Jennifer Robertson. Also survived by several cousins, great-nieces and a great-nephew.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY on FRIDAY from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Brendan on the Lake (St. Charles Church) Main St., Olcott, NY on SATURDAY at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Olcott, NY. Memorials to Roswell Park Cancer Institute PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240-0631 would be appreciated by the family.
