Donald William Shubbuck

LOCKPORT —

Donald William Shubbuck, of Lockport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 26, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Medina, NY on December 5, 1928, he was the son of the late John and Jane Lewandowski Shubbuck.
Don attended and graduated from St. Mary's School in Medina. He worked as a sub-contractor for Sears and worked at Diversified Manufacturing on Ohio Street in Lockport. Don and his wife, Phyllis, owned and operated Shubbucks Lawn Maintenance for many years until retiring. He loved the outdoors, was an avid fisherman, boating and working on any kind of machinery.
Don is survived by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis, whom he married on February 23, 1961. He is also survived by his sons, William (Donna) Shubbuck and Thomas Shubbuck, both of Lockport; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Don was the brother of Betty (Peter) Stedman of Indianapolis, IN. Don is predeceased by his son, Gary; brothers, Raymond and Edmund; and sister, Gertrude Steward.
There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
