Kathleen K. "Kathy" Luthart

MEDINA —

Kathleen K. "Kathy" Luthart, 72, of Medina, NY, fell asleep in death on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Buffalo General Hospital. Born on April 17, 1941 in Batavia, NY, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Mildred (Townsend) VanBuren.
On January 17, 1959, she married the late Richard R. Luthart and together they made their home on Maple Ridge Rd., raising three children. Kathy enjoyed music and playing the guitar and teaching people about the Bible.
Kathy is survived by three children, Dena (Daniel) Koenig of Batavia, James Luthart of Georgia, Randy (Laurie) Luthart of Middleport; seventeen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Donald VanBuren of Batavia and Larry VanBuren of Medina; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two sisters, Delores Hackett and Shirley Pinker.
Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Thursday, March 6, 20014 at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103, where a funeral service will be held for close friends and family on Friday, 11:00 AM with Daniel West as speaker. Burial will be in the Alabama Cemetery in the spring. Memorials may be made in Kathy's name to Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 3830 Stone Rd., Middleport, NY 14105.
