Cynthia S. Kick

LOCKPORT — Cynthia S. Kick entered into rest on May 24, 2013, at the Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born on August 23, 1938 in Lockport, she was the daughter of John and Agnes Saraf.

Cynthia was a founding partner in the store Pets Plus with her family, starting out in 1987 on Locust St. Since then the business has grown into its current location on West Avenue, and has been opened for 26 years. Before the pet store, she taught in Angola and for the Lockport Catholic schools.

Cynthia was predeceased by her husband, Frederick P. Kick, Sr. in 1992. She was the beloved mother of Frederick P. Kick, Jr., Jon J. Kick, Kristen Kick and Meegan Kick; cherished grandmother of Jon J. Kick, Jr.; dear sister of Robert Saraf and the late John Saraf, Richard Saraf and Theadore Saraf; sister-in-law of Margaret Saraf and the late Maureen Saraf; aunt of Greg (Sharon), Theadore, Erin, Marla (Dan), Richard, Troy and Jeff.

Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Monday at the TAYLOR & REYNOLDS Funeral Home, corner of Transit and Niagara Streets, where prayers will be held at 10:15 AM on Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut St. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery.
