Lillian Alice Hintz, age 87, of Lockport, NY, entered into rest on October 24, 2012, while under Hospice care in Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Williamsville, NY, on November 1, 1924, Lillian was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Marie (Beuchi) Klesat.
She attended the Parker High School in Clarence, NY. For many years, she was employed as a cashier for the former Bells Supermarket in Clarence, NY. Mrs. Hintz was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarence, where she often went with her daughter, Donna. Lillian was an avid bingo player, enjoyed bowling and liked watching all different teams play baseball on television. Since she moved back to Lockport from Florida Lillian enjoyed being back in Western New York. Where ever she went, she had the type of personality that drew people to her. Mrs. Hintz was happy to have been blessed by all the new friends. Lillian will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is the loving mother of Ronald W. Hintz and Donna L. (Terry) Van Buren; grandmother of Terry Lynn, Leslie Ann and Ronald W. Jr.; great-grandmother of two.
A Celebration of Lillian’s life will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Zion Lutheran Church, 4447 Central Ave., Gasport. Rev. Ron Klinzing, pastor, will officiate. Per her wishes, Lillian donated her body to the Anatomical Gift Program at the University of Buffalo. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lillian’s memory would be appreciated by the family to the University of Buffalo Foundation Anatomical Gift Program, PO Box 90,0 Buffalo, NY 14226.
