NEWFANE — Calvin S. Woodruff, of Barker, NY, husband of Roseann O'Shea Woodruff, entered into rest    Thursday, September 5, 2013 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Newfane.

He was born in the Town of Carlton, NY January 26, 1933, the son of the late William and Grace Smith Woodruff and the late Ruth Spalding.

Calvin was a US Air Force veteran who served his country from 1951-1955, serving most of his time in Alaska. They have lived in Barker for over 53 years.  He was a mechanic and worked for Frost Chevrolet in Barker, Bell Air Craft, Harrison Radiator and last worked for Wally's Auto Repair in Gasport. Calvin also worked for part-time cleaning the Marine Midland Bank in Barker for over 20 years.

He was a member of the American Legion, Exempt member of Barker Fire Company, H.O.G. and loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles and loved riding with family and friends. The family would like to invite any of his friends that rode with him to join the funeral procession in his honor.

Father of Kevin (Kathy) Woodruff of Barker, Dennis Woodruff of Lockport, Anne (Richard) Mussell of Lockport, Donna (Harry Foster) Parslow of Lockport, and Michael (Lucinda) Woodruff of Middleport. Grandfather of the late Christopher Woodruff. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Brother of Wayne (Ellen) Rath of Waterport, Richard (Darlene) Woodruff of Wisconsin, Betty Elliott of NC, Carol Woodruff of Miami, FL, and the late Inez Taylor.

Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1708 Pallister Ave.,     Barker, NY, MONDAY 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held TUESDAY at 10:00 AM in Faith United Methodist Church, 1449 Quaker Road, Barker, NY. Burial will be in Kenyonville Cemetery, Town of Carlton, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Faith United Methodist Church, 1449 Quaker Road, Barker, NY 14012; or American Diabetes Association, 315 Alberta Drive, Amherst, NY 14226, would be appreciated by the family.
