Rose Marie Carolus passed away on May 16, 2013, at Buffalo General Hospital. She was born October 7, 1936 in Lockport to the late Leo and Virginia (Floyd) Borner.
Rose was predeceased by her husband of fifty-one years, Donald Carolus, and was co-owner of Carolus Tax Service for forty-one years. She also worked as a lab technician for R.J. Reynolds for a number of years and was a permanent camper at Niagara County Camp Resort for over twenty years, where she ran the 50/50 drawings. Rose also enjoyed a day at the casino.
She is survived by her son, Mitchell (Maureen) Carolus of Lockport; grandchildren, Adam (Stephanie) Carolus, Jason Carolus and Holly Wilkinson. Rose is also survived by step-grandchildren, Amanda, Elizabeth, and Stacey Cuzzacrea; as well as her brother, Leo (Noreen) Borner; and three sisters-in-law, Delores (Teglash) Borner, Kathryn (Ken) Becker and Debbie St. Cyr; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her brothers, George and Albert Borner; and sister, Carol Borner.
Friends may visit on Friday, May 24, 2013, from 5-7 PM with a memorial service at 7 PM at the Ross Funeral Home Gaul Chapel, 263 East Ave., Lockport. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY.
