Ann Marie Degan

LOCKPORT — Ann Marie Degan went to join her heavenly father on April 8, 2014. Born October 6, 1933 in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of David and Mabel (O'Hearn) Smith. Ann's life was devoted to her family. She lovingly cared for her invalid mother for more than 17 years. She enjoyed      spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ann was a lifelong    member of St. John the Baptist Church. She belonged to the Gathering Gals Bridge Club and she loved playing the organ, bowling, reading and puzzles.

Beloved wife of the late Raymond M. Degan, who predeceased her in 1991. Cherished mother of Maryanne (James) Gailie, Raymond (Patricia) Degan, Patricia Annalora, all of Lockport, and    foster mother to Patricia (James) Moran of Fairfax, VA. She was the loving Grandma Deedee to Sara, Amanda, David, Lindsay, Melanie, Jason, Eric, Kristina, Colleen and Melinda. Treasured Great Grandma to Aidan, Ava, Cameron, Eric, Jackson, Jade, Julia, Layla and Natalie. She was the dear sister of John Smith of Kenmore, NY.

There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 10, 2014, at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care Facility, 104 Old Niagara Road, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
