Ruth E. Pless

ST. LOUIS, MO — Ruth E. Pless, 93, of Lockport, NY, died peacefully just past the midnight hour on Friday, May the 2nd in St. Louis, where she lived since 2008. Born in Pendleton, daughter of Charles and Frieda Miller (Seifert), Ruth was a beauty and her life was reflective of such through both her time as beauty operator at Peggy's Beauty Salon and her gardens, particularly her geraniums.

Her wit was enjoyed by many as were her Jell-O dishes enjoyed by her great-grandchildren. Both will be greatly missed.

Wife of the late contractor, Herbert J. Pless and mother of the late Larry C. Pless. Ruth is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cheryl Dittmer (St. Louis) and Ms. Lynda Hale (Omaha); seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

A service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, May 10th, with visitation hours from 11AM-1PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockport. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the MS Society.
