PUNTA GORDA, FL —
Phyllis J. Tremblay, 82, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013. She was the daughter of Donald and Julia (Chausse) Campbell, born November 27, 1930 in Lockport, NY. Phyllis graduated from Lockport High School and worked at NY Bell Telephone in her twenties. Phyllis loved all four-legged companions, a variety of musical genres, and especially enjoyed playing her piano and organ. Her other pastimes included President of Niagara County Home Bureau and golfing at Lockport Town & Country Club during her "Lockport Days." Upon retiring to Florida, they bought a boat, named it "Ma's Piano" and started tickling the waterways for the big catch!
She will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Denise (James Stuckey) Barnett-Stuckey, Darcy Tremblay and Donna (Charles) Maisch; grandchildren, Dianna (Terry) Charles, Jillian Hines, John (Donielle) Downey, Jason (Millie) Downey, Allison Downey and Shelby Steblein; great-grandchildren, Alex Warren, Joshua Charles, Gabriella Charles, Adryanah Hines, Milana Downey and Jolen Downey; and her furry children, Rascal, Duchess, Tootsie, Gigi, Panzee, Sadie, Spike, Sammie, Precious, Chu-Chu and Possie. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald P. Tremblay.
The family will receive friends 5 to 7 PM Wednesday, April 24, 2013, with a service to celebrate Phyllis' life at 6:30 PM, at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorial donations may be made to local Animal Welfare League.
