Anthony L. Cervoni entered into rest June 20, 2013, at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Lewiston NY on October 9, 1919, he was the son of Peter and June (Montepare) Cervoni.
Tony served in the US Army during World War II from 1941-1945. He worked at Bell Aerospace as an Engineer, retiring in 1985 after 30 years. Tony was a former City of Lockport Alderman in the 8th Ward and served on the civil service commission. He was also an avid golfer and a member of Bally's fitness gym.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Marie (DeNardo) Cervoni. Beloved father of Carole(Thomas) Niland and Peter (Maureen) Cervoni. Cherished grandfather John and Kelly Niland, Christina Eaton and Andrea (Justin) Case. Great-grandfather of Jordan Eaton, Alexis, Brittany, Emily and Addison Case. Step-grandfather of Melissa Bream and Kathleen Carnes. Step-great- grandfather of Kasandra Castle, Christian and Jonathan Bream, Jordan Washburn, Joshua and Courtney Carnes. Brother of the late Maria "Jeanette" Apolito and Francis "Frank" Cervoni. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 9:00-10:30 AM on Wednesday at the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, where prayers will be held at 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 AM. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated by the family.
