Dennis James Monnin

MEDINA —

Dennis James Monnin, 37, of Medina, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Buffalo VA Hospital. Born on January 16, 1976 in Buffalo. He was the son of Dennis and Christine (Mullar) Monnin. His wife, Kellie, passed away on November 27, 2010.
D.J. graduated from Barker High School in 1994. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served his country from 1994 - 1998. He married his departed wife, Kellie, on May 5, 2001. D.J. last worked for Reed Excavating in Pendleton as a heavy equipment operator. D.J. enjoyed hunting, fishing, dirt bike riding, camping, and playing cards.
His children, Tanner and Brook, were the love of his life. Brother of Jennifer (Todd) Herkey and Brenda (Nathan) Griffin, all of Depew. Grandson of Irene (the late Edward) Monnin and Anna (the late Leo) Mullar. Son-in-law of the late Robert and Barbara Reiner. Brother-in-law of Scott (Brenda) Reiner, Denise (Barry) Albone and Michelle (Keith) Ferrigno. Uncle of Mitchell, Hayden, Miranda, Kaleb, Cassidy, Coby, Aiden, and Keara. Dear friend of Jamie, Tim, Aaron, Jim, Brad, David, Andy, and Amos. Cousin of the late Jimmy. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM on THURSDAY, June 27, 2013 at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main Street, Newfane, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lake, Barker at 10:00 AM on FRIDAY, JUNE 28, 2013. Rev. James Hassett will officiate. Burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery, Medina. In lieu of flowers, donations sent to Monnin Family Fund c\o Lancaster-Depew Federal Credit Union, 30 Brunswick Road, Depew, NY 14304 would be appreciated by the family.
Good-Bye is not Forever, it is until we meet again.
