Edward G. Zoerb

LOCKPORT —

Edward G. Zoerb passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Buffalo, on November 21, 1917, he was the son of the late George and Anna Adelmen Zoerb.
Edward served in the US Army Air Corps from 1941 until 1945, as a pilot during WWII. He owned and operated Twin Oaks Motel on Route 104 in Cambria. Edward also worked at Simonds Saw and Steel for 10 years, and also was a home builder for many years. Edward was a member of the Charlotteville Mason Lodge #73 (formerly the Lockport Lodge) and was a 32nd Degree Shriner; he also enjoyed woodworking around the house and fishing. Edward was the husband of Muriel (nee Bieger) Zoerb and the late Lois (nee Treble) Zoerb, who passed away in 1973.
Besides his wife, Edward is survived by his son, David Zoerb of North Tonawanda; his step-son, David (Kathleen) Popper of Depew; grandfather of Christopher Zoerb and Jeffrey (Deanna) Zoerb; great-grandfather of Heidi Zoerb. Edward is also survived by his sister ,Norma Fischer.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 25th from 4-8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10 AM. There will be a Masonic Service on Tuesday evening at 7:30 PM. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
