Lorenzo Di Censo

LOCKPORT — Lorenzo Di Censo entered into rest on April 30, 2014, at Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care  Facility. Born on August 21, 1926 in San Pio delle Camere, Italy, he was the son of Loretto and Pia Paolini Di Censo.

Lorenzo was the owner and operator for 45 years of Lorenzo's Restaurant in Wrights Corners and in Lockport. Before coming to the United States, he was a border patrol officer in Italy       during World War II. He married the former Luciana Antonelli on January 28, 1961. Lorenzo     enjoyed Bocce, sports, making pizza and pizza bread, and loved socializing and being around people at the restaurants. He also cherished his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of Luciana Di Censo; beloved father of Sandra (Randy) Stenman and Lou (Renee) Di Censo; cherished grandfather of Nicole Stenman, Sergio and Sophia Di Censo; dear brother of Maria Casilo of Rome, Italy, Angelo (Madelyn) Di Censo of Las Vegas and Clara (Pasquale) Crugnale of Niagara Falls. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 3-8 PM on Sunday at the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, corner of Transit & Niagara Streets, where the funeral will be held on Sunday at 5 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
