Alvin E. Robinson

BUFFALO — Alvin E. Robinson passed away on May 15, 2013 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Bay View, VA, he was the son of Luis and Rustine (Baker) Robinson.

Alvin served in the U.S. Army. After being Honorably Discharged in 1957, he served ten years in the Army Reserves. He retired in 1991 as a foreman after 37 years from Harrison Radiator, Div. of GM. After retirement he continued to be a "gentleman farmer" which he enjoyed along with music, playing his guitar, reading Scripture and spending time with his family. Alvin was      predeceased by his wife, Rebecca Rose Robinson in 2005; brother, James Robinson; and sister, Anna Mae Williams.

He is survived by his children, Sonny King, Kevin King, Rustine King Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, Christine Robinson, Lockport, Swanthia Hilson, Middleport, Alvin (Vivian) Robinson,    Buffalo, and Peter (Denise) Robinson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Thelma Harvey of New York City; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, May 19, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY. Funeral services will be held             Monday, May 20, 2013, at 12 Noon in the Ridgewood Bible Church, 7073 Ridge Road.             Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
