Stephen Lee Furnace

HINTON, OK — Stephen L. Furnace was born July 19, 1949 in Massena, NY to Lee Furnace and Ruby             Puterbaugh. He passed away July 12, 2013, at his home in Hinton, OK, at the age of 63.

Stephen graduated from Starpoint Central School in 1967. He worked at Harrison Radiator and Pfeiffer's before moving to Oklahoma. He married Shirley Seymour on March 17, 1982, and worked as a diesel mechanic for some local companies in the Hinton area. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and wrestling.

In addition to his loving wife Shirley, he is survived by his daughters, Sandra Salvagni of Lockport and Tammie (David) Cooper of Gasport. Son of Ruby Bullock and brother of Cheryl (David) Wilkins of Wilson. He was grandfather of eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two step-daughters, Cindy (Randy) Boyle of Batavia and Karen Flick of Gasport. He has two step-sisters, Patti Rohring of Appleton and Pamela Levering of Newfane. Also step-mother, Mary Furnace of Lewiston. Stephen was preceded in death by his father.

Services for Stephen will be held at the graveside at North Ridge Cemetery, Lockport, NY, at 11:00 AM July 27, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY.
