Robert W. Snow

MEDINA — Mr. Robert W. Snow, of Medina, (previously of Albion), passed away on Saturday evening,     March 2, 2013, at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home.

Mr. Snow was born in Lockport, July 22, 1932, a son of the late William Merton and Ella Mae (Smith) Snow. A US Army veteran, he served from 1953-1955. On Christmas Eve 1956, he married the former Marlene Doris Luxon. For 31 years, he was employed by Simon Steel, later Gutteral  Steel in Lockport, and for 10 years at Acme, Medina.

He loved his dogs, Chico and BJ; was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing and camping.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene; two daughters, Robbi (Tim) Hess of Albion and Cheryl (Jason) Sipple of Medina; his son, Russell (Jennifer) Snow of Burt; six grandchildren, Nicholas Gray, Alexa Hess, Robert Snow, Andrew Sipple, Zachary Snow and Nathan Snow; two great-grandchildren, Alyson and Carter Snow. He was predeceased by his sister, Norma King.

Friends may call on Wednesday 1-2 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.  Military honors will be accorded at 2PM at the funeral home by members of  Lincoln Post #1483, VFW and Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion. Memorials may be made to the VA WNY Healthcare System, 222 Richmond Ave., Batavia, NY 14020.
