Joann Bower

LOCKPORT — Joann Bower, of Lockport, entered into rest Saturday, July 13, 2013. Born November 18, 1934 in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Clara M. Cousineau Irving.

Joann worked for Harrison Radiator for 30 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the UAW-CIO 686 Travel Club, the Lockport Senior Citizens Centre and its travel club. Joann was also a volunteer at Lockport Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed bingo, traveled throughout Europe and resided for many years in Largo, FL.

Wife of the late Albert "Corky" Bower, who passed away in 1997. Mother of Rosemary J.     (Gregory "Rick") Palmer, Donna G. Pahl, both of Lockport, and Sharon A. (Alan) Thoman of        Gasport. Grandmother of Christopher (Erika) Palmer, Jeffrey Palmer, Yvonne (Christopher)      McClanahan, Thomas (Sarah) Laskey, Tonya (Christopher) Irwin, Joan LaSpada, Mary Lidell, Sondra Ficarra and Rhonda (Russell) Harris. Also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; relatives and friends.

Friends may call at Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, corner of Transit & Niagara St., on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM. Interment, Cold Springs Cemetery. Arrangements by Provenzano Memorial Chapel, Mark C. Provenzano, Director.
