Sophie M. Kaczynski

LOCKPORT — Sophie M. Kaczynski was met at the gates of heaven into the arms of her parents, Carl and Aneila Mozgala, and husband, Bernard Kaczynski on Saturday, June 14, 2014. Sophie was born April 20, 1920 to Carl and Aneila in Niagara Falls, NY, where she met her late husband, Bernard Kaczynski, whom she married on September 25, 1948, and raised their three sons and one daughter, who survive her: Robert (Cindy), Paul (Brenda), Sharon (John E. Clark) and Larry (Linda) Kaczynski. Sophie is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Christopher, Robert, Ryan and Brett Kaczynski, Tracey Kaczynski, Cory, Michael and John W. Clark and their spouses; and 12 great-grandchildren. Sophie was predeceased by her husband, Bernard, who passed away June 21, 2003; her grandson, Matthew J. Clark and two            great-grandchildren.

Sophie worked at Bell Aircraft during WWII installing fuel lines on fighter planes. She also worked at Nabisco Foods. She enjoyed crocheting and her puzzle books.

Sophie was also known for her witty remarks. The last sentence she ended her life with was the famous saying, "See ya' later alligator!"

At Sophie's request, there will be no prior visitation. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to thank everyone at Mount View Health Care Facility, Odd Fellows & Rebekah Health Care Center and Niagara Hospice for their loving care of Sophie. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Odd Fellow & Rebekah HCC or to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
