Zachary R. "Zack" Golding

BARKER —  

Zachary R. "Zack" Golding, age 15, of Gasport, NY, a former Akron resident, passed away unexpectedly on October 25, 2012. Zack was born in Medina, NY on February 6, 1997, loving son of Brandy (Bailey) Golding and the late William R. Golding who passed away on December 29, 2008.
Zack was a sophomore at Barker High School and attended Akron Central School prior to moving. He excelled at football playing on the varsity team this past year. He also was active on the baseball and basketball team at the school. Zack started his fondness for athletics by playing on the Akron Football Little League for five years. He attended the Woodridge Bible Church in Lockport where he was very active in the church youth group. Zack also enjoyed camping, fishing and target shooting. He enjoyed meeting new people and his personality radiated through his actions, easily meeting new people and making many friends. He was given a special gift from God. If you met Zack, you would know how kind and caring he was. Besides enjoying being with friends, he especially loved being with his two brothers.
Zachary will always be the loving son of Brandy (Kyle Johnson) Golding. He was the cherished brother of Tyler Golding and Jacob Golding. Proud grandson of Sue and Mike Oliver, Greg and Carol Golding and Keith Bailey. Dear great-grandson of Elaine (late Ralph) Golding and the late Clair and Verna Wissinger. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 4-8 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron, NY. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM in the Woodridge Bible Church, 7073 Ridge Road, Lockport, NY. Rev. Richard Jennings will officiate. Flowers are great fully declined. The family encourages memorial contributions in Zack's memory to the Woodridge Bible Church youth group something Zack was proud to be a part of.
