Anthony G. Siracusa

LOCKPORT — Anthony G. Siracusa passed away March 12, 2013, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born   December 25, 1921, 91 years ago in Astoria, NY.  He was married for over 50 years to the love of his life, the late Mary Lopresti Siracusa, who passed away June 27, 1999, and lived in Lockport. Anthony will be sorely missed by his daughter, Sandra Hausler of Wheatfield; sons, Carl (Barbara) Siracusa of East Amherst and Tom Siracusa of London, England. He left behind four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren whom he constantly spoiled.

Anthony retired from the Niagara Falls Air Force Base and USAF in 1983, and worked for Bell Aircraft as a mechanic prior to that. Tony was a proud WW II veteran, an active member of St. Joseph's Church, enjoyed tending bar at private parties, was an avid reader, and loved aviation.  He was a kind and gentle man who was born on Christmas day and passed away over the Easter season.

There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 16th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.        Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. A party in his honor for his dear friends will be held after the funeral. He is now in the loving embrace of his Saviour. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
