Shirley Rose Casalinuovo

LOCKPORT —

Shirley Rose Casalinuovo passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013. Born in Buffalo on May 22, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Vincent E. and Rose Delesandro Mullen. Shirley had her own drapery business for many years and enjoyed crafts and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Antonio "Cas" Casalinuovo, who passed away on April 9, 2008.
Shirley is survived by her children, Anthony Casalinuovo of Lenexa, KS, Thomas (Karen) Casalinuovo and Tina  Forys, both of Lockport; grandmother of Samuel, Joseph, Steven, James, Michael (Sarah), Jennifer, Kyle, Lena,  Clare, Tommy and Molly; great-grandmother of Bella, Jackson, Caylee, Emma, Franco and Alexzander; sister of Charles Mullen, Clyde (Frances) Mullen, Edward "Tubby" (Wendy) Mullen, Edmond "Booye" (Sharon) Mullen James (Karen) Mullen, Donald (Kathy) Mullen and the late Joan (David) Smith, Angela Fonzi, Evelyn Abernathy and Vincent Mullen; mother in-law of Mike Forys; and dear cousin whom she treated like a son, David (Lisa) Poole of Lockport. Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where prayers will be offered on Monday morning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM to be celebrated in All Saints Parish Oratory, 391 Market Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Memorials to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute would be appreciated by the family.
