ALBION —

Linda Horn Reed of Albion, passed away in Mobile, AL on Saturday, November 23, 2013 as the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident while traveling. Linda, the daughter of the late Joan and Wilton Vought of Wilson, NY was born on May 3, 1948.
Linda owned and operated "The Clothesline" consignment shop in Albion since August. She was a cancer survivor who was very involved in the "Relay for Life", recruiting her entire neighborhood in her fundraising efforts. Linda joined the Red Cross as a volunteer after seeing the devastation from Hurricane Katrina. She traveled to Baton Rouge, LA to be a relief worker in one of the shelters set up there. Linda made new and lasting friendships on every Red Cross deployment. The most important thing in Linda's life was her friends and family. She would drop everything, without hesitation for someone in need.
Linda is survived by her husband, James Reed; one son, Lee (Patricia) Horn Jr. of Gasport; two daughters,  Lisa (Anthony) LaRose of Lockport and Lynette (Timothy) Shoaf of Prairieville, Louisiana; one step-daughter, Jennifer (David) DiLorenzo of Gasport; twelve grandchildren, Ashlee Miller, Melodie Dold, Adrian and Amber Horn, Jessica Whitley, Mitchell (Nicole) Weatherbee, Christopher, Tabetha, and Nichole Shoaf and James and Cassandra DiLorenzo; five great-grandchildren, Caden and Austin Weatherbee and Harlee Horn, Ashley and Isaac Brandon. Also survived by five sisters, Wanda (Louis) Nardolillo, Pamela (Duane) Duxbury, Anna Vought, Billie Jean (David)Burmaster, and Laura (John) Farmer; one brother, Craig (Debra) Vought. She was predeceased by one step-son, Richard Reed. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY 14108, on Friday 4-8 PM, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10AM, , with the Rev. Rodney Klinzing officiating. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
