Roxanne Mary Utke-Potrubacz

MEDINA — Roxanne Mary (Thomas) Utke-Potrubacz of Medina, passed away at her home on March 13, 2014.

She was born in Medina, July 4, 1949, a daughter of the late Catherine R. (Wasnock) Thomas and Leslie E. Thomas. A graduate of Medina High School, she attended Niagara University. On June 3, 1983, she married John G. Potrubacz and was a longtime resident of Lockport and Medina. She traveled extensively in the Far East and Europe and enjoyed her trips to China, Poland and New York City. She loved her family, her church, Medina and her dogs.

Survivors include her son, Scott Utke of Michigan; step-children, Lisa LaBlanc, Lynn LaPlant and Lori Potrubacz; her sister, Sue Voelker of Albion; her brother, Ronald (Betty Jean) Thomas of Medina; her great-aunt, Margaret Wasnock of Rochester; companion, Patrick Collins; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband on July 9, 2012; and her brother, Terry Thomas.

There will be no prior calling hours. The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10AM at Holy Trinity Parish/St. Mary's Church. Memorials may be made to the American Society for the Prevention  of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), www.aspca.org/donate. Arrangements were completed by the Cooper Funeral Home, Medina.
