Anna K. Viola

LOCKPORT — Anna K. (nee Krosby) Viola, 86, died peacefully on October 9, 2013 in the Harris Hill Nursing Facility, Williamsville.

Mrs. Viola, born in Mikado, Saskatchewan, Canada on October 26, 1926, was a former model and a Department Manager for many years at the Sears Roebuck and Co. store on Main Street in  Buffalo and the Sears service center on East Delavan Avenue from where she retired in 1986. After retiring from Sears, she enjoyed working at Blue Mountain Coffee on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed gardening and many types of craft activities. Mrs. Viola was an avid sports fan and an enthusiastic supporter of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres.

She was the beloved wife of the late Paul J. Viola, Sr.; and mother of Paul, Jr. (the late Mary Carol), Lori (the late Michael) Stearns, William (Mary Beth) and Victor (Jessica). She was the loving grandmother of Stephanie, Catherine, Paul III, Elizabeth, Gianna, Alexandra and Simone;  step-grandmother of Michael and Melissa Stearns. Mrs. Viola was the loving sister of Sandra (Ron) Coates, Donna Hilton, Kathy (Tony) Bast, Joyce (Wayne Fraser) Coutts and Luba Stephens. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and good friend, Joan (the late Sam) Viola. In addition, she had many nieces and nephews who were special to her.

Ann's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Harris Hill Nursing Facility for the kind and loving care extended to Mrs. Viola.

Services will be private. A Memorial Mass in her honor will be held at a future date. Arrangements by AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC. (716)836-6500.
