Charles R. Porter, Sr.

OLCOTT — Charles R. Porter, Sr., of Olcott, husband of the late Suzette Porter, entered into rest on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at home. Charlie was born on December 27, 1935 in Olcott, NY, son of the late Richard and Isabel Vogt Porter.

He worked at Simons Saw in Lockport, NY, as a steel worker. Charlie was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan.

Father of Charles (Darlene) Porter, Jr. of Pendleton and Paul (Terry Dumont) Porter, Sr. of Niagara Falls. Brother of Jack (Mary) Porter of Olean, NY. Grandfather of Paul Jr., Christopher, Arthur, Jessie, Ethan and Zachary. Great-grandfather of Valentino Porter. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY 14108, on TUESDAY 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where funeral services will be held on WEDNESDAY at 10 AM. Burial will be held in Cold Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Roswell Park, 665 Elm St., Buffalo, NY 14263.
