Mary E. Reitz

LOCKPORT — Mary E. Reitz, of Lockport, NY, wife of the late Herbert Reitz, entered into rest Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in Briody Health Care Facility. She was born in Trevorton, PA, September 24, 1925, the daughter of the late Jacob and Hilda Gilchrist Schaffer. Her husband, Herbert, died October 16, 2004.

Mary worked for Lockport City School system at North Park in the school cafeteria. She moved to Lockport in 1946, coming from Trevorton, PA.

Member of St. Mary's, Lockport, NY and Lockport Senior Citizens. Mary enjoyed bowling and traveling with her husband.

Sister of Dean (Mary L.) Schaffer of Newfane, Wayne (Shirley) Schaffer of PA, and the late Harry and Allen Schaffer. Sister-in-law of Daisy Schaffer of Lockport and Louise Reitz of PA. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

No prior visitation. Graveside services will be held in Cold Springs Cemetery, Lockport, NY,     FRIDAY at 1:00 PM. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
