BLOTTER: Police reports published March 24

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal

City of Lockport

• DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Robert Wright, 16, 147 Ross St., Batavia, was charged Saturday with disorderly conduct. The police report said Wright was among a group of eight individuals yelling and creating a disturbance near Taboo Restaurant on Main Street. Police told the group to disperse, and Wright refused. Wright is due Monday in Lockport City Court.

Town of Lockport

• HARASSMENT: An Evergreen Drive woman told police that a man drove past her residence two times on Friday and honked the horn on his vehicle. According to the police report, police were at the residence on March 15 when the same man drove past the woman’s residence six times and continuously blew the horn on his vehicle. Police located the man in the city of Lockport on March 16 and advised the man to stop driving by the woman’s home and honking the horn. The report said police told him that if he drives by again and causes annoyance, he would be charged with harassment in the second degree. Police had the woman fill out and sign a supporting deposition about the facts of the first incident and advised her to take the supporting deposition and information to the Town of Lockport Court.

Cambria

• DRUGS: Leroy Stafford, Jr., 27, 6993 Meadville Road, Basom, was charged Friday with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug parahiplina, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. Police stopped Stafford on Saunders Settlement for going 74 mph in a 55 mph zone. A department of motor vehicles search found that Stafford’s driver’s license was suspended for a DWI related incident. The report said before arresting Stafford, the police’s pat down search revealed a crack pipe in the front right pocket of his pants. A search of the vehicle found a digital scale and a small amount of an off white substance, which later tested positive for crack cocaine. The pipe, scale and amount of cocaine added up to $150, according to the police report. Police then transported the defendant to Cambria Town Court for arraignment. He was then transported to the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $500 bail. Defendant is due April 8 at Cambria Town Court.

Olcott

• PETIT LARCENY: A Washington Street man told police that sometime between 6 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday someone stole the tailgate off his 1994 Ford Ranger. The report said the tailgate was valued at $500, and the victim was unable to provide any suspect information to police.
