BLOTTER: Police reports published April 14

City of Lockport

• CHARGED: Antonio D. Dames, 32, 53 Elmwood Ave., Apt. lower, was charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance. Dames was picked up at 3:35 a.m. Sunday on South Street while walking on the roadway. During the booking process, the patrol found pills which field tested for cocaine.

• CHARGED: Martin R. Stephen, 39, 325 Michigan St., Apt. B, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and aggravated harassment. A Washington Street woman reported Stephen made unwanted phone calls and she has a valid order of protection.

Wheatfield

• CHARGED: David Dirienzo, 3027 Seneca St., West Seneca, was charged with driving while intoxicated and fail to keep right. Dirienzo was observed driving onto the shoulder of Niagara Falls Boulevard at 1:50 a.m. Sunday. The driver believed he was lost and the patrol noticed the smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. Dirienzo was given five field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was given a breath screening test which came back positive.

Cambria

• CHARGED: Joseph Martin Gaines, 45, 4835 Chestnut Road, Wilson, was charged with alcohol related aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding. Gaines was observed eastbound on Lockport Road going 80 mph in a 55 mph zone. A Department of Motor Vehicles computer showed that his license was revoked in 2005 for driving while intoxicated.
