• DRUGS: William John Cole, 17, 6629 Hake Road, Akron, was charged Tuesday with criminal possession of a controlled substance. The principal of Niagara Academy on Saunders Settlement Road told deputies Cole was caught with a muscle relaxant pill at school. Another student reportedly admitted taking two of the pills and was taken to the hospital by Tri-Community Ambulance. Cole was released on an appearance ticket and is due May 13 in Cambria Town Court.
• FIGHT: Joshua Lee Kinney, 17, 916 Orient St., Medina, and Eric Edward McCall, 17, 311 West Ave., Medina, were each charged Thursday with disorderly conduct. Kinney and McCall allegedly fought with each other at Niagara Academy on Saunders Settlement Road. Several faculty members jumped in and separated the teens, and one faculty member was treated by the school nurse for an injury to his right hand, according to reports. Kinney and McCall were issued appearance tickets and suspended from school, the report said.

• ID THEFT: A Hartland Road man reported Thursday that when he and his wife returned home from vacation April 20, they found a phone message from an Expedia representative trying to confirm if they had purchased $16,000 worth of airline tickets. Expedia reportedly put the purchase on the man’s American Express card after they were unable to contact him. The man said he had not purchased any airline tickets, and American Express informed him he would not be held liable for the purchase.
