BLOTTER: Police reports published May 4

— CHARGED: Oscar L. Hamilton, 55, 1129 Ontario Ave., and Amber K. Rowlett, 26, 141 Pine St., Apt. 2, were charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Hamilton and Rowlett were seen Friday afternoon at a suspected drug house on Genesee Street. The police had received prior complaints from Children’s Protective Services and questioned Hamilton and Rowlett about an infant. The said their 4-month old son was being watched, but police found the child alone in the apartment.

— CHARGED: Michael J. McCormick, 61, 341 West Ave. Apt. B, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation. The patrol attempted a traffic stop at 1:15 a.m. Saturday on Webb Street, and McCormick failed to stop. McCormick had glassy, red, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol. An alcoholic beverage was present and McCormick failed field sobriety tests. His license had been revoked.

— CHARGED: Michael James Zuehlke, 33, 99 South St., Apt. 1, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment on a warrant.

— CHARGED: Ruben Loaeza-Santos, 23, 96 Locust St., was charged as an unlicensed driver and failure to signal. Loaeza-Santos, who had no identification, has a hearing in Batavia for deportation.

— CHARGED: Christy W. Wood, 42, 317 Washburn St., Apt. 2B, was charged with second-degree harassment. According to the police report, the victim was approached twice by Wood and threatened.

— CHARGED: Matthew J. Hill, 23, 4917 Gasport Road, Gasport, was charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance and an equipment violation. Hill was stopped for a traffic violation on Locust Street and the police found a hydrocodone tablet in plain view.

— CHARGED: Frederick J. Sherman, 37, 275 Locust St., was charged with felony DWI, failure to stop at a stop sign and aggravated unlicensed operation. Sherman was stopped for a traffic violation Saturday morning and the patrol noted a strong odor of alcohol.

— CHARGED: Kenneth W. Houghton, 26, 111 Cottage St., Apt. 1, was charged with second-degree harassment. Houghton threatened the victim and her family, according to the report.

— CHARGED: Leslie A. Bailey, 45, 243 Washburn St., Apt. 3, was charged with second-degree harassment. The victim said she was walking on the street Friday when she was approached by Bailey, who began kick her and attempted to punch her.

— CHARGED: Benjamin R. Miller, 28, 3225 Hartland Road, Gasport, was charged with petit larceny, fourth-degree grand larceny and first-degree fraud. Miller asked victims to cash checks for him because his ATM card was not working. The account had been closed before the checks were written and all of the checks bounced. There were four victims.

— CHARGED: Henry E. Landon, 56, 264 Grand St., was charged with improper lane change, an equipment violation and driving while intoxicated.
