City of Lockport
• HARASSMENT: Robert C. Tester Jr., 20, 273 Union St., Apt. 2, was charged Monday night with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Tester allegedly “jumped” a man while in the parking lot of Lockview Plaza. He allegedly threw his bike, which struck an Army recruiter’s car, leaving a small gouge in the hood. He was arraigned Tuesday in Lockport City Court and held on $500 bail.
• BURGLARY: A Maple Street woman reported Tuesday that she had been away from her apartment for three weeks, and when she returned home, she found the apartment had been broken into. There was no sign of forced entry. A TV/VCR combo, a desktop computer, a DVD player, a CD player, a clock, various CDs and DVDs and $100 cash were stolen, together worth $3,215.
• BURGLARY: A Lincolnshire Drive man who owns a vacant property on Pine Street reported Tuesday that someone broke into the vacant property by breaking the glass out of the front door. A jar containing about $15 in quarters had been stolen from the kitchen counter.
• VANDALISM: A Willow Street woman reported Tuesday afternoon that overnight, someone smashed the passenger-side windows on her car. Nothing had been taken from inside the car. The damage is estimated at $400.
• BURGLARY: A South New York Street man reported Tuesday that overnight, someone broke into the shed in front of his home and stole several items, including a rototiller, tires and rims, jack stands and creepers. The items are worth $900, and damage to the dead bolt on the shed is estimated at $25.
Town of Lockport
• LARCENY: A Poplar Lane woman reported Monday that over the weekend, someone stole a Sony PlayStation Portable system, along with the charger and a game, from her son’s room. The items are worth $260.
Gasport
• LARCENY: A Rochester Road woman reported Tuesday that overnight, someone entered her unlocked car and removed the center console. Several items were stolen, including CDs, sunglasses, a cell phone charger, keys to a motorcycle and an iPod, together worth $510.
Pendleton
• LARCENY: A Bear Ridge Road man reported Tuesday night that sometime over the past three days, someone entered his 1994 Chevrolet, which was parked in his driveway, and stole an AM/FM CD radio and two college textbooks. The items are worth $400, the report said.
Newfane
• ID THEFT: A Howell Avenue woman reported Monday that she received a credit card statement from a bank in Las Vegas. The statement included a charge for $74.95. The woman told deputies she never applied for this credit card. She called the bank, who told her the card had been canceled and she could throw out the statement, the report said.
