• MISCHIEF: John Apolito, 46, 9 Monroe St., was charged Sunday with criminal mischief. The police report said two witnesses on High Street heard noises outside and saw a man slashing a rear left tire of a vehicle. All four tires were slashed and the right back door was scratched. Total damage was about $500, the report said. The witnesses followed the suspect and later police found a knife on him. Apolito is due at 9 a.m. Monday at Lockport City Court.
• POSSESSION: Jeffrey Kuzma, 35, 7088 Ridgewood Drive, was charged Saturday with unlawful possession of marijuana. The police report said police were in front of the police station where one could smell marijuana burning. Police saw a person walking and drop something white and rolled up like a cigarette. When asked what it was the man repiled, “A joint.” The report said he was at a bachelor party and was trying to have a good time. Kuzma was issued an appearance ticket and is due at 1p.m. July 1 at Lockport City Court.
• ASSUALT: Christopher Griffin, 41, 159 Prospect St., was charged Saturday with third-degree assualt. The police report said police were called by a victim who said she was just beat up by her boyfriend. She was bleeding from lacerations on the face and head, and also had a black and blue eye. The report said it was a verbal argument that turned physical when the suspect punched her in the face and head several times. Griffin is due at 9 a.m. Monday at Lockport City Court.
• DWI: Adam Rav, 27, 2579 Kent Road, Ellicottville, was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated. The police report said police stopped the suspect on South Transit Road for a traffic violation. Police detected an alcoholic odor and the driver admitted to drinking. The suspect failed two out of three soberity tests. Rav is due at 9 a.m. Monday at Lockport City Court.

• MISCHIEF: Police were called to Wilson Burt Road on Saturday for a criminal mischief report. The police report said a Hazeltine Road, Kenmore, woman said that sometime between 9:30 p.m. Friday and 9 p.m. Saturday, an unknown person smashed the drivers side window of her 1999 Hyundai Sonata. The victim said she could not name any suspects and had not observed anything suspicious, and police checked the vehicle for any physical evidence. Damage to the window was about $200, according to the police report.

• BURGLARY: Police were called to Jackson Street on Saturday for a burglary report. The police report said a Young Street, Wilson, man said that sometime between 4 p.m. June 7 and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, an unknown person or persons entered a barn at Jackson Street. The police report said the victim told police that the door had been secured by a latch and pad lock and had several pieces of wood stacked against it. It appeared that the suspect had pried the lock and latch off and laid the wood on the ground to gain access. The report said the wood was then replaced to its original location. Police entered the barn with the victim and checked for any items that may be missing. A Wurlitzer copper kettle drum valued at $400 had been taken.
