BLOTTER: Police reports published June 28

City of Lockport
n MENACING: Ronald E. Skilton, 27, 472 Prospect St. Apt. 3 ,was charged with second-degree menacing and third-degree assault. Police were dispatched to Fletcher Street at 3:34 a.m. Saturday for the report of a domestic. The caller said Skilton put his arms around her neck and brandished a knife. Officers located Skilton and arrested him. The victim requested an order of protection against the suspect.
n DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Joshua M. Bachman, 21, 1719 Pallester Ave., Barker, and Christopher Bitsas, 27, 7792 Ridge Road, Gasport, were charged with disorderly conduct Friday night. Bachman was also charged with possession of marijuana. While on bicycle patrol, the officers observed Bachman and Bitsas in a physical altercation on Locust Street, according to the report. They complied with orders to stop and were booked at police headquarters.
n ASSAULT: Thomas Struebing, 25, 6811 Canal Road, was charged with third-degree assault. The patrol responded to Main Street for a report of a fight at 10:22 p.m. Friday. Officers found two males fighting in the men’s restroom. Both parties were secured with handcuffs. According to the report, Struebing sucker-punched the victim in the left eye. The victim said he was waiting to use the restroom when he was falsely accused of pushing a female, according to the report. There were several females lined up waiting to use the facilities when the alleged assault took place.
n CHARGED: Jacqueline A. Sutton, 41, 272 Green St., was charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance stemming from an alleged offense June 5 on Transit Street. Several people were milling around in a known drug area on that date, according to the report. While being interviewed, Sutton reportedly kept her hands in her pockets. During the pat-down, officers reportedly found a silver pipe with a blunt end and Brillo material in her pocket. Test results came back positive for cocaine Friday, and Sutton was arrested on Green Street, according to reports.
n TRESPASSING: Thomas P. Ackroyd, 27, 29 VanBuren St., was charged with third-degree criminal trespass. At 2:45 a.m. Friday, the patrol observed a man scaling a fence on Caledonia Street. The resident said the suspect did not have permission to be in the yard.

n MOLOTOV COCKTAIL: The patrol was dispatched to Northview Drive for a report of criminal mischief involving a Molotov cocktail. The patrol interviewed several residents who heard an explosion at approximately 11:55 p.m. Friday. A resident said she was in her yard when it the incident occurred and saw no cars or people in the area. Officers were shown the remains of a Mountain Dew 20-ounce plastic bottle that had been split open in a pool of liquid on the roadway. This type of bottle is commonly used for “soda bottle bombs,” officers said. No property damage was reported.

n STOLEN PROPERTY: An Oakwood Drive man reported that sometime between June 16 and 22, a Dell laptop valued at $1,500 was taken from his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway.
