City of Lockport
• DISORDERLY: Paul F. Owens, 49, 198 Pine St., Apt. 3C, and George L. Dash, 42, 198 Pine St., upper, were each charged Sunday afternoon with disorderly conduct. Owens and Dash allegedly had an argument at their apartment building and were loudly swearing. Several people reported hearing the men.
• HARASSMENT: Mark J. Brinson, 33, 8025 Ridge Road, Gasport, was charged Sunday afternoon with second-degree harassment, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded to a Pine Street home in response to an unwanted person report and found Brinson getting into a car. Brinson reportedly had cuts on his hands and said the woman in the home owed him $250. When officers asked where he got the cuts, he allegedly said, “She owes me money, man!” The woman told police Brinson came to the door and they argued. He allegedly told her, “I’m going to kill you,” and swung a frying pan at her. Brinson allegedly grabbed a butcher’s knife and swung it at her. The woman said she ran to the bedroom, and Brinson began throwing items around the room, breaking her DVD/VCR player in the process. He allegedly struck the woman in the chest with his fist. He was arrested and held in lieu of $500 bail.

• DWI: James Aviles III, 20, 16 Sidway St., Buffalo, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on the highway, moving from a lane unsafely and driving with unsafe tires after a traffic stop on Niagara Falls Boulevard. Deputies reportedly observed Aviles cross the lane lines near Military Road. The car was making an unusual noise, and deputies soon realized the noise was caused by a flat tire, which was smoking and shredding as Aviles drove, the report said. Deputies pulled Aviles over near 76th Street, and he reportedly said he was unaware of the tire damage. Aviles allegedly had a partially consumed bottle of Bud Ice in the cup holder and appeared intoxicated. He reportedly said he’d had two beers at the casino and was driving to drop someone off in Kenmore.
