City of Lockport
• CHARGED: Dennis R. Herlan, 49, 5783 Beach St., Olcott, was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding and unsafe lane change. Police observed Herlan make several traffic infractions while driving on Walnut Street at 12:30 a.m. Saturday. There was the odor of alcohol on Herlan’s breath, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, according to the police report. He failed field sobriety tests.
• CHARGED: Brian K. Empson, 28, 6035 S. Transit Road, Apt. 33. was charged with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, speeding and an equipment violation. Empson was stopped on Lincoln Avenue for traffic and equipment violations Saturday. Police noted the odor of alcohol on his breath, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The driver’s view was obstructed. He failed field sobriety tests.
• CHARGED: John T. Prohaska, 21, 197 Lock St., upper, was charged with disorderly conduct. The police responded to a Main Street bar for the report of a fight Friday night. According to the report, there was a group of people arguing. Prohaska raised his arms in a threatening manner.
Gasport
• CHARGED: David J. Pratt, 42, 11 Porter Parkway, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a control substance, second degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest. At 4 a.m. Saturday, a woman reported Pratt entered her apartment through her window. She awoke and asked who it was, the voice stated, “Come out here.” She told Pratt “no” and to “leave me alone.” The victim said Pratt ran to his apartment. According to the report, Pratt was highly intoxicated and officers noticed a clear plastic bag containing a white powdery substance on the living room table. Pratt became uncooperative with police and refused to follow the deputy’s directions to be handcuffed. The powdery substance tested positive for cocaine. Pratt is due to appear Tuesday in Town of Royalton Court on.
Pendleton
• PETIT LARCENY: A Ridgeview Drive resident reported an unknown person took his gas grill, which was valued a $400 sometime between last Sunday and Friday. The stainless steel Charbroil Gas grill was taken from his behind his residence. The victim said he noticed his grill was missing after his neighbors observed their grill missing.
• AUTO STRIPPING: A Townline Road resident reported an unknown person removed the catalytic converter and muffler system from his 1991 Dodge Dynasty while it was parked in the driveway at his residence. The total value is $600.
