BLOTTER: Police reports published Aug. 12

Staff Reports
Lockport Union-Sun & Journal

City of Lockport

• DWI: Marisa L. Longacre, 29, 6035 S. Transit Road, Apt. 450, was charged early Tuesday with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right after a 2:10 a.m. traffic stop on Clinton Street. Longacre allegedly failed several field sobriety tests. She was released on her own recognizance and is due today in Lockport City Court.

Town of Lockport

• DWI: Paul P. Shields, 60, of North Tonawanda, was charged Aug. 3 with DWI after a traffic stop on Beattie Avenue. Shields allegedly had a blood alcohol content level of 0.10 percent. He was released on an appearance ticket for Lockport Town Court.

• DISORDERLY: Mickey A. Jacobs, 17, 238 Sky Road, Basom, was charged Sunday night with disorderly conduct. Deputies responded to Akron and Dysinger roads for a report of a man walking in the road during a severe thunderstorm and reportedly found Jacobs walking in the roadway, wearing all dark clothing. Deputies transported Jacobs to a store on Robinson Road so he could call for a ride home. A short time later, deputies were again dispatched to Dysinger Road for a report of a man walking in the middle of the road and found Jacobs, who was allegedly uncooperative and said he did not need assistance. As deputies were leaving, a passerby called dispatch to report Jacobs was again walking in the middle of the road. Deputies reportedly saw several cars stopped that could not pass around Jacobs safely. When a deputy tried to escort Jacobs to a patrol car, Jacobs allegedly laid down in the middle of a parking lot and refused to get up. Deputies lifted Jacobs off the ground and carried him to a patrol car, the report said. He was held in lieu of $100 bail.

Newfane

• LARCENY: A Ridge Road man reported Monday afternoon that sometime since Saturday, someone stole an ice freezer from a home on Charloteville Road. The man said he is in the process of purchasing the home and believes a previous tenant may have taken the freezer. The freezer is worth about $400, the report said.

Lewiston

• DISORDERLY: Lenard S. Hill, 27, 5125 Walmore Road, Sanborn, was charged Monday morning with disorderly conduct, DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway and false personation. Deputies responded to Dickersonville Road about 12:09 a.m. for a report of a man screaming and swearing in the roadway. When they arrived, they reportedly saw Hill exit a van while holding an open can of Budweiser. He allegedly made incoherent statements to deputies. A passenger in the van told deputies she had told Hill to stop driving and let her drive, saying, “He is drunk.” Hill allegedly had little motor coordination and could not keep his balance while walking. When deputies asked him to submit to a chemical test, he allegedly used profanities. He was held in lieu of $250 bail.
