BLOTTER: Police reports published August 14

City of Lockport

• LARCENY: David A. Abdul-Ali, 27, 77 Main St., Apt. 709, was charged Tuesday night with petit larceny. Officers responded to Park Avenue for a report of a shoplifter taking an 18-pack of beer from Wilson Farms. As they were pulling up, officers reportedly saw Abdul-Ali running through a parking lot, being chased by a Wilson Farms employee. Abdul-Ali was apprehended on Cottage Street and brought back to the store, where an employee reportedly identified him as the shoplifter. The beer is worth $14.93, the report said. Abdul-Ali was held in lieu of $500 bail.

• HARASSMENT: Ruben Colon Jr., 22, 373 Prospect St., third floor, was charged Tuesday afternoon with first-degree criminal contempt, third-degree menacing, second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. Colon allegedly fought with a Prospect Street woman when he came to her residence to pick up some clothes. Colon allegedly punched the woman in the face and pushed her to the ground, then grabbed a knife and put it in her face, threatening to kill her, the report said. Colon allegedly threw the woman’s phone at her and ran out of the house. Officers reportedly found Colon walking on Grand Street and took him into custody. He was held without bail.

Ransomville

• SUSPICIOUS: A Harris Avenue woman reported Tuesday evening that a man in a tan Ford Taurus parked in front of her home and walked into her garage. The man, who appeared to be intoxicated, began asking questions about the neighbor across the street. He was described as 6 feet tall with short, dirty-blond hair, wearing baggy jeans and no shirt. The woman said the man then went next door and spoke to a juvenile girl. The girl said the man asked her if her parents were home, and when she said her father was home, the man left. The man’s car was last seen headed north on Harris Avenue.

Wheatfield

• LARCENY: An employee at NOCO on Williams Road reported Wednesday that a man entered the store about 3:05 a.m. and walked out with two cases of beer. The employee said she had just walked into a back room when the man entered. The man is described as a white male, about 25 to 30 years old, wearing a dark cap and shorts and a jersey-type shirt with the number “08” on it. The cases of beer were worth about $30, the report said.
